It's been a while since I've written a critique, please forgive me if this seems a bit disjointed! (and of course, as it is with all art, the following is solely my opinion)
Anywho, this is very beautiful! The warm colors and shallow DoF are lovely. You've filled your frame very well, there doesn't appear to be any dead space and there are no visible distractions. As for critique, I think this image would have benefited from having a stronger focal point. As it is now, my eyes don't have a solid place to rest. I find myself wanting the focal point to be the branch in the lower left, as that would utilize the rule of thirds and be most pleasing compositionally, but the focusing on that branch makes other areas of the photo more attention-grabbing. I rather like the composition as it is now, but I would suggest perhaps moving a bit closer and getting a sharper focus on one individual branch, to create a strong focal point and bring out some of those beautiful details on the leaves. But anywho, all in all this is a complete pleasure to look at, it grabbed my attention the second I saw it. It has a very warm, calming feeling and gives a strong sense of autumn. Just looking at it feels as if I've taken a big breath of fresh air. Absolutely lovely work!
Hello! I apologise for the lateness of this contest prize, but you've been featured by me in my journal and Word-Wit's blog. I hope your new year is going well. ~Cattereia
